Beth Giltner, LEED AP ID+C, BD+C, is the Sustainability Coordinator at rand* construction corporation, a national commercial contractor that specializes in tenant interiors, building renovations, and sustainable, ground-up, restaurant and retail construction. Her background in sustainable commercial interior design was instrumental in Beth’s segue into the management of environmentally responsible, high-performance commercial construction projects. Since joining rand*, Beth has worked on over 3 million square feet of LEED certified projects.
Beth manages the LEED certification process for renovation and construction projects nationwide. During the submittal process, Beth ensures that the procurement process is in compliance with specifications and LEED objectives set forth by the project team. During the build-out, she checks the site for compliance with indoor air quality and waste management requirements collects and tracks material documentation, and processes data for LEED submission at the project conclusion.
Beth directs rand*’s Corporate Sustainability Program and collaborates with industry partners to streamline processes, educate the community, and advocate for environmentally responsible design and construction. She facilitates the rand* LEED education program, which provides free training to become LEED accredited professionals. Under her leadership, rand* has become one of the industry’s premier general contractors practicing sustainable building and a paradigm for responsible, profitable, and sustainable business. Beth’s associations with the USGBC, ASID, DCBIA, and other industry organizations enrich her knowledge and expand her reach into the community, enabling her to further progress the mission of responsible, sustainable design and construction.
