Oliver Harris, VP-Loan Officer at ReadyCap Commercial, LLC

After starting a career in real estate as a project manager in Charlotte, NC corporate services office of the Trammell Crow Company 1996, Oliver has spent the last 18 years in real estate finance working at a Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) lender at CWCapital, Commercial Bank Relationship Manager & Regional CMBS Originations Manager at USBank, a VP in Premier Bank Inc.’s Washington, DC office, and currently as VP/Loan Officer primarily covering the Mid-Atlantic markets. He has overseen the origination and closing of over half a billion dollars of debt financing including single transactions ranging in size from approximately $500,000 and up to $150 million.

In 1998, the opportunity to transition into commercial real estate finance brought him to the Baltimore/Washington Region, and following seven years with CWCaptial, his focused turned to bank financing of construction, acquisitions, and refinancing bank products for the commercial real estate development community.  In 2006 he returned to the CMBS space as the East/Mid-East Originations Manager for the 10 USBank loan production offices East of the Mississippi River.  Following the real estate and economic collapse of 2008-2009, he joined Premier Bank in Washington, DC, to assist with the troubled loan portfolio and handled loan workouts, foreclosures, asset management of Bank owned properties, and returned again to doing new loan origination in 2012 which is  his current primary roll with ReadyCap Commercial, LLC since joining the firm in February of 2015.

Since moving to the Washington, D.C. area, he completed his MSRE in Institutional Investments from Johns Hopkins University’s Carey School of Business in 2001, and subsequently taught and introduction to real estate analysis course for nine years, as well as Chairing the Johns Hopkins Real Estate Forum in 2005.  He grew up in Connecticut just outside New York City and completed his undergraduate studies in 1994 at Ohio University in Athens, OH and now lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two daughters.  He enjoys doing volunteer work and traveling (both domestic and international).
